A journalist and self-proclaimed foodie, Gracie was shocked when she found out what foods her local Houston schools were making available to young students—and she did something about it. She started researching and learned that kids who cooked and gardened ate better, so she founded Recipe for Success to change the way children understand and eat their food.
Recipe for Success is the largest initiative of its kind in the country, and with Gracie's direction it has taught more than 15,000 kids to grow, cook and eat healthy food through hands-on programs built into the curriculums of elementary schools. Through her inspiration and nutritional education, Gracie is helping to improve kids' lives and conquer childhood obesity, one garden-grown vegetable at a time.
Recipe for Success helps children grow a healthier future.
