When Brittany was just 13 years old, she heard a news story about a soldier with an $8,000 phone bill from calling his parents while serving in Iraq. Brittany and her brother decided to help the soldier pay his bill by organizing a cell phone collection drive at school, and their passion grew into Cell Phones for Soldiers. The program collects old cell phones, sells them, and then buys prepaid international calling cards and distributes them to troops around the world.

Cell Phones for Soldiers has provided those serving overseas with over 114 million minutes of calling cards to date, and the drive has recycled over 8.5 million phones, decreasing the impact on landfills. Brittany's big heart and altruistic vision are helping keep troops connected to their loved ones back home.

Cell Phones for Soldiers keeps troops and families connected.
